A letter to my boy

To Jemery, as your sister used to call you when you first arrived.

One year on - a letter to my brotherThank you for allowing me to be your mum and for sharing your life on earth with me.  For always being there – at the other end of a phone oftentimes, but there none-the less, where ever in the world you found yourself.

You and Bronwen made the wish I made for myself when I had you both come true.  That not only would you come home often and keep in touch, but that you would do so to be all of us together, because that was what you wanted, and not what you felt obligated to do. So from my very core I thank you.

Thank you for all the times you called for no specific reason or to sound me out on something, and for the smile you gave my very soul.  For the support you gave me, the wisdom you shared with me that resulted in us returning to live in the UK, and for the ongoing love you gave me through others you love
/d.

I have so very many reasons to count my blessings.  Thank you xxxx
