It’s Been A Long Day Without You My Friend

”It’s been a long day without you, my friend
And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
We’ve come a long way from where we began
Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again”

Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth

This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Without fail.

trial re jeremy gumby brooke

Inevitably I’m in the car which seems to be a place I regularly cry – I thought I was odd but apparently lots of people cry in the car! I guess it’s a relatively quiet space where you are able to just sit and think? Who knows?

The trial against those who took Gumby away from us started again today in SA and thankfully, the lady who my mom is communicating with is hopeful that it’ll be over with completely by the end of the period which is the 23 October. Here’s hoping cos it’s a pretty emotional time again.

It’s so weird that something like this can stir up all sorts of mixed up shit again, like a scar that’s been roughly scratched off, leaving the wound as bad if not worse than it was in the first place.  Like my mom said earlier – perhaps it would be easier if there was a rule book or guide explaining why and how we should be feeling and coping rather than just having it hit you. But I doubt it would help really.

As always, love to all of you missing him too and thanks for your support.

If you haven’t heard that song, here’s a YouTube link.

There are quite a few songs that remind me of Gumby which I’ll share another time but I’d love to hear what yours are too.

Take care all xxx
